One of the questions in a quiz making the rounds of AOL Journals this week asks how many lightbulbs there are in your home. I was curious, so I counted (I assume they meant functional). Including the refrigerator, oven, microwave, and nightlights, I am the maintainer of 79 separate bulbs! Only one of which is on right now. Edison was onto something....

06/06/05 Update: Paula of Pauline's Country Tales and Other Thangs has reminded me in her counting that I forgot the outside lights. So, 4 in the garage, plus 3 on the front of the house, 2 in the dog pen, 4 on the deck, 2 at the back door, and 1 at the side door equals 16 more, for a total of 95! Central Hudson Electric Company loves me.
